Biografie:
Hiro Kanagawa is een acteur en schrijver uit Vancouver. Geboren in Sapporo, Japan, bracht hij zijn jeugd door in Guelph, Ontario en Sterling Heights, Michigan voordat hij naar de International Christian University High School in Tokio ging, waar hij acteerde in zijn eerste studentenfilms en toneelproducties. Hij keerde terug naar de VS en ging naar Middlebury College, VT, de Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, en de Tyler School of Art aan de Temple University voordat hij zich vestigde in Vancouver, BC. Sinds 1990 heeft zijn veelzijdige carrière hem talloze podiumprijzen en onderscheidingen opgeleverd in zijn geboorteland Canada. Internationaal is hij misschien het best bekend om zijn terugkerende rollen en gastoptredens in populaire Amerikaanse televisieseries zoals Altered Carbon (2018), The X Files (1993), iZombie (2015) en Smallville (2001), en om memorabele komische wendingen. in hits als Best in Show (2000) en Supernatural (2005). Zijn scenarioschrijven omvatte het bewerken van verhalen van de veelgeprezen Canadese serie Da Vinci's Inquest (1998), Da Vinci's City Hall (2005), Intelligence (2005) en Blackstone (2009). Hij was ook een ervaren toneelschrijver en ontving in 2017 de Governor-General's Literary Award for Drama voor zijn toneelstuk Indian Arm.
